New Board of Director Kathy Walker Begins Service

Kathy Walker of Red Oak is the newest appointed director for the Red Oak Community School District Board of Directors following her appointment on August 27. Mrs. Walker was granted unanimous affirmation by Directors Lee Fellers, Warren Hayes, Paul Griffen, and Bill Drey. Her first formal meeting was September 10 as she participated in the annual goals work session.
Walker graduated from Red Oak High School in 1983. She completed a degree in accounting at Iowa State and followed that with a master’s degree from Creighton University. Kathy and husband, John, have four children. The oldest is a student at Iowa State University while the other three are a senior, a sophomore, and a fifth grader.
